Vintage 1920's Mixed Medium Silk Dress

Vintage early 1920's ink black Charmeuse silk dress with an elegant bateau neckline that has faux "lingerie" straps under the narrow shoulder seam, intricate handmade lace draped from each shoulder - and to the hemline on the left side with lamé, silk velvet and satin beaded flowers cascading down past the knee.  The bottom of the dress has two long flouncy ruffles from the knee.  This dress likely had a sash belt or a train as there is a long strip of hidden eye hooks along the left seam, hidden by the lace drape.  Entry to the dress is likely over the head as there is only one closure (a series of snaps) at the top of the left shoulder under one of the straps.  Unlined.

Label:  Robes Modes - Maison Solomon, Roma
Material: handmade silk lace, charmeuse silk, metal lamé, silk velvet, silk satin
Condition: Remarkable for its age.  No rips, holes or stains.  Some of the lace is a little weak around the top of the shoulder but is not in danger of falling apart.  And the most mild and barely there discoloration around the very edge of the armholes - it goes absolutely unnoticed, but I had to mention it.
Provenance: Unknown Italian girl ;)
